Quotes[]

  • Antonio Scarpacci - "I'll never have enough money to send to my father."
Roy Biggins - "Oh, Scarpacci, quit complaining. At least your dad's an ocean away. My mom is right down the road at that old folks' home. Or as I like to call it, "Seizures Palace"."
Fay Cochran - "Oh, that's terrible."
Roy Biggins - "I'll tell you what's terrible is the fact the she'll be staying with me for three days while they paint her room. Oh, I hope I can distract her on the drive home. i'd hate for her to learn the way."

  • Joe Hackett - "You want to know who Sandy Cooper is?"
Alex Lambert - "Not a lot. I was just being polite."
Joe Hackett - "She's was this mousy girl with spooky eyes who had an insane crush on me. I mean, she was obsessed. She followed my home practically every day from school."
    Helen Chapel - "Did not."
Joe Hackett - "Did too. She came to everyone of my baseball games and sat in the front row and took pictures of me.
    Helen Chapel - "Did not."
Joe Hackett - "She did too. And-and I swear to you one day she came up behind me in study hall and cut off a lock of my hair."
Helen Chapel - "Oh, good Joe. Blame a bad haircut on Sandy."

  • Fay Cochran - "You know, when I was a stewardess, I was once involved in a similar situation with a frequent flyer. It was quite an infatuation."
Joe Hackett - "Yeah, and what did you do about it?"
Fay Cochran - "Nothing. He got a restraining order and I had to stay away."

  • Helen Chapel - "You know, even if Sandy did have a crush on you in high school, it's been 15 years. And take it from someone who knows you're not that hard to get over."

  • Joe Hackett - "What did I tell you? Sandy is crazy! Maybe you'll believe me now."
Helen Chapel - "Yeah, Maybe Joe's right. This is pretty weird."
Brian Hackett - "Let's not jump to any conclusions, okay? This could be a suicide, check the bear for signs of a struggle."
Alex Lambert - "Maybe we should call the police?"
Brian Hackett - "Yeah, 'cause if we stand here and do nothing then another innocent stuffed toy could get whacked."
    Helen Chapel - "Brian."
Joe Hackett - "Yeah, come on. This is not funny. We've got to do something."
Alex Lambert - "First things first, we should notify the bear's next of kin."
Helen Chapel - "How can you two kid around at a time like this?"
Joe Hackett - "Yeah, thank you Helen."
Helen Chapel - "A bear has died."

  • Sandy Cooper - "You never ask me to go to the prom, Joe. Well, we're going to the prom now."

  • Sandy Cooper - "Didn't I do a great job of recreating the school gym? I had to guess on some of the finishing touches since I wasn't there even though I was the chairman of the decoration committee. I spend everyday after school for three months planning the theme and hanging the crepe paper and THEN SOMEBODY FORGOT TO ASK ME TO GO!"

  • Joe Hackett - "Wow, this looks just like the jacket I wore in high school."
Sandy Cooper - "It's the exact one. I went to the rental place the day after you returned it and bought."
    Joe Hackett - "You didn't."
    Sandy Cooper - "I did!"

  • Sandy Cooper - "Thirsty Joe? I hope the punch isn't too warm, it's been sitting there since--"
Joe Hackett - "Oh, no, don't tell me: June 5th, 1978?"
Sandy Cooper - "No! Since this afternoon. What do you take me for, a kook?"
