Quotes[]

  • Antonio Scarpacci - "Big Strong Man, uh...Ever tried using your superpowers to pick up a check?"

  • Roy Biggins - "Hey, Lambert. I'll help you pick out a dinette set. Then we could mosey on down to the mattress department and go for a test drive."
Alex Lambert - "Then after that we could stop by the cutlery department and I could slit my wrists."

  • Helen Chapel - "I can't believe Brian actually went."
Fay Cochran - "And after you told him in no unconcern terms that he could."
Alex Lambert - "Exactly! Why can't men understand that "go" means "stay"?"

  • Antonio Scarpacci - "It's no fair. Some drink deep from the fountain of life while Antonio takes one sip and it goes down the wrong pipe."

  • Roy Biggins - "Look, Lowell, wake up. This guy is a bum. He is a loser. He's bleeding you dry."
Lowell Mather - "Hey, hang on a second, Roy. You can't talk like that. It's not easy to be a superhero. In real life, you don't have wires hold you up when you go flying. There's no pads to soften the blow when the network replaces you with your trust sidekick, Duckface. I know that he's not everything that he used to be, but I still owe this man a lot. Every afternoon at 3:30, he was there for me, protecting my little world. I salute you, Big Strong Man."
Big Strong Man - "Thank you, Joel."

Trivia[]

  • Brian and Danny once played roulette with three naked cocktail waitresses on Aruba.
  • Danny used the pseudonyms of "Donny" and "Ryan" for he and Brian in his book, Tequila Nights.
  • In episode 43 of Big Strong Man, Big Strong Man lifted the entire city of Philadelphia. Ever since then, Big Strong Man claims he has had back problems. When Helen claims that was only television, Lowell believes the story as he has the show on tape.
  • Big Strong Man's battle cry is "Ya-hooie!" He came up with this during a doctor visit to exam what later turned out to be just a polyp.
  • Big Strong Man was on every after at 3:30pm when Lowell was younger until network replaced Big Strong Man with his trusty sidekick, Duckface.
  • Brian and Alex break up at the end of this episode.
