Carter was the manager at Nantucket Video. When Joe came in on December 24th, 1992 to complain about a 50 cent rewind fee, Carter gently ridiculed him before bringing out Debbie so Joe could yell at her. Because Debbie had seemingly made another error, Carter fired her (The Customer's Usually Right).

- When Joe states that he's in his 30s, Carter comments that his father was also in his 30s.
- Helen guessed that Carter was 17 year old mean that he would have been born around 1975.
