David Thorp Patrick McCall (better known as Dave McCall) was an old friend of Joe Hackett. He was played by Mark Arnold.
Bio[]
Dave McCall was a long-time friend of Joe Hackett and Brian, who he met through Joe. After college, Joe and Dave drove cross country together in a Vega hatchback. Together they "smoked a doobie" (and "couldn't feel their legs") at the Hoover Dam. When they were in Death Valley, Joe sucked snake venom out of Dave's leg. In Flagstaff, Joe rescued Dave from a motorcycle gang by trading them all of his beer for him (Maybe It's You).
When Dave was getting married, seemingly everyone received an invitation except Joe. Becoming more and more upset about not being invited, Joe left an angry voice message for Dave just as Dave arrived to deliver the invitation in person explaining that his invitation had fallen under the seat of his car.
