Deke Hathaway was the star and titular character of Austin Houston P.I.. Thanks to Casey's work as assistant director of tourism, Deke came to Nantucket to film a commercial to promote tourism on the island. As a huge fan, Antonio's fawning attention was misconstrued by Deke as sexual advances. After filming his commercial and spending all his free time with Antonio, Deke invited Antonio to come to L.A. to visit him over the summer. Before leaving, the pair parted with a kiss (Honey, We Broke the Kid).
