Don DeCarlo was a wealthy diamond broker originally from Sicily. When he came to America, someone took him under his swing and showed him the ropes, and now as a success himself, DeCarlo tries to do the same for others. While on Nantucket, DeCarlo took and interest in Antonio and offered him a lucrative position as his chauffeur while he's on the island. However, Joe and Brian become suspicious when Antonio could only provide vague details about his boss. Then Antonio overheard an ominous phone call and believed Joe and Brian were right about DeCarlo being in the mob. When a paranoid Antonio confronted Mr. DeCarlo, he revealed that he was actually a diamond broker and the secrecy was to protect that. Disappointed in Antonio's lack of trust, DeCarlo fired him (Driving Mr. DeCarlo).
