Gil Cooper was a mechanic briefly employed at Tom Nevers Field. He was played by Phil LaMarr.

When Lowell was threatening to leave Tom Nevers Field for a job in Boston, Gil Cooper was hired to replace him as the airport's field mechanic (Labor Pains). Gil appears to have quit after Lowell returned and trapped him in an oil drum.
Trivia[]
- Despite stating his full name, in the closing credits of Labor Pains Gil was simply credited as "Gil the Mechanic".
- Gil was on of the only Black characters to appear on Wings.
