The Hackett House, located at 627 Cherry Street on Nantucket, was a three bedroom and one bathroom home and the residence of Joe and Brian Hackett.

History

The house has three bedrooms, the smallest bedroom being on the first floor. Joe needs to move into it when Lowell Mather moves in as he needs to overlook the ocean. Lowell takes remarkable care of the boys, being a gourmet chef, but his compulsiveness later gets him tossed out of the house (It's So Nice to Have a Mather Around the House). During that time, Lowell tries to use the decorative rifle on the mantle to fire on a supposed threat to Antonio Scarpacci (What the Cabbie Saw). When Joe and Helen Chapel got married, they were forced to move in when their house was accidentally burned down by Brian and Casey (Burnin' Down the House (Part 1)).

In Bye, George, Helen hosted Fay's ill-fated wedding to Lyle Bartlett at this house.

While celebrating moving into their own house, Helen and Joe accidentally burned down the house (Grouses, Houses, and Bickering Spouses).

• In Burnin' Down the House (Part 2), Antonio revealed that this house was located on 627 Cherry Street, Nantucket, MA 02554. Joe reaffirms this address when he uses it while trying to report a noise complaint to the police to have Helen's Christmas party ended in 'Twas the Heist Before Christmas.
  • The exact location of the house is unrevealed, but in several shots suggest it is near the shore. However, it is not literally beachfront property (Porno for Pyros).
  • In What the Cabbie Saw, it's revealed that Cherry Street is dead end street.
  • In Porno for Pyros, the fire department identifies the home as "Lot 49-B".

However, whether Joe purchased the house or inherited it from his father is unrevealed.
