House of Blues is the seventeenth episode of the eighth season on Wings, and the 165th episode overall in the series.

Synopsis[]

At the Hackett-Chapel House, Helen organizes asd scrapbooks photos a Joe enters. Reviewing the photos, the couple is annoyed that Brian and Casey are in every shot. Joe quickly sets up a camera with a timer to take a photo that is just Helen and him, but Casey and Brian enter before the photo is taken and jump into the frame. Joe and Helen decide to finally evict Casey and Brian.

At the airport, Fay asks Roy if he's ever tried on online dating and ask for his opinion on a profile. Roy tells Fay that everything in the profile is a lie, and Fay counters saying not everyone on the internet is ouh to deceive before lying about herself in a reply to the personal ad. Brian and Casey enter discussing their rental options but only one house even comes close to meeting their needs. Antonio enters in a chipper mood because he has been having a lot of sex with his new girlfriend Elise. Everyone is shocked that Alise hasn't yet broken up with Antonio. Hearing how Antonio is spending all his time at Alise's, Brian suggest he move-in with Brian and Casey to a new place. After some convincing Antonio agrees. Meanwhile back at their house, Joe and Helen discuss how to spend their first night living alone together and Joe suggests the use the hot tub in the nude. Then Helen suggests that they go all nude all the time. At their new rental, Brian and Casey unpack and discuss how nice it is to have Antonio paying rent, but not really living with them until Antonio arrive dejected because Alise has broken up with him.

Back at the Hackett home, Helen cooks bacon wearing only an apron while Joe walks downstairs strategically hold a newspaper. The couples discusses how much they love being all nude all the time and even contemplate visiting a nudist colony until there was a knock at the door. Wrapping a blanket around himself, Joe answers the door to find Spencer and Jud, a pair of teens. Jud and Spencer then share some nude photos they took of Joe and Helen and threaten to publish them on the internet unless they let them use their house for a makeout party. At the airport, Casey and Brian complaining about Antonio being depressed, cooking with too much garlic, and continually singing "Cherish". Antonio arrives crying, and Casey and Brian demand that Antonio stay in his room that night while they have their dates over. That night, Brian romances Rhonda in the living room. Casey enters to welcome in Tom who brought a bottle of wine as a housewarming gift. Brian heads to the kitchen to pour the wine and Casey leaves to finish getting ready. While Brian and Casey are out of the room, Antonio enters and quickly depresses both their dates. Tom realizes it's too soon for him to start dating after his break up and leaves. And after Rhonda sees how callously Brian treats Antonio, she also leaves. Furious that Antonio ruined their evenings, Casey and Brian kick out Antonio.

The next morning at the airport, Casey ask Roy if he's seen Antonio but Antonio enters claiming to have reunited with Alise at a diner last night. He also claims that they will be moving in together and informs them that they will have to find a new roommate. Three days later at their house, Brian and Casey are frustrated that they have not been able to find a good roommate until Matthew Evans enters. He's employed, single, has references, and is very motivated to get out of the terrible motel he's been staying at, the Just Washed Inn. Antonio arrives to pick up the last of his things, apologies for interrupting, and heads to the kitchen. However, Matthew recognizes him from the Just Washed Inn and talks about how said he seems. While Matthew leaves to look at the bedroom, Casey and Brian discuss how Antonio lied about getting back together with Alise and how they can't let him stay to the Just Washed Inn. Lying, Casey tells Antonio that he should move back in because they just can't find anyone suitable to live with them (despite Matthew being willing to pay six months rent in advance). Antonio agrees to move back in and Brian cries as Antonio leads him and Casey in singing "Cherish".

As the credits roll, Fay shows Roy a new website about Nantucket that turns out to just be the nude photos of Joe and Helen.

Trivia[]

  • Antonio's girlfriend Elise was first introduced in Too Beautiful for You. In that same episode, Antonio discussed his previous girlfriend Pencil Patty who lived under a bride, which makes Roy comment that Antonio's last girlfriend being a "troll" and that she "lived under a bridge and had a beard" at least partially accurate.
  • Brian and Casey move out of Joe and Helen's house and into a rental house with Antonio where they remain until the end of the series.
  • This episode is currently unavailable for streaming in the United States likely due to the music rights for "Cherish", which is briefly sung by various characters throughout the episode.
