Jack Hackett (known as Grandpa Jack) was the long-lost paternal grandfather of Joe and Brian Hackett.
Bio[]
Little is known about Jack Hackett's life. According to Joe Hackett, Grandpa Jack disappeared when he was approximately 4 years old. Due to his long absence, Grandpa Jack was presumed dead by his grandsons (B.S., I Love You).
In early 1996, a man claiming to be Grandpa Jack arrived on Nantucket. However, Helen and Casey grew suspicion when Grandpa Jack's stories seemed eerily similar to classic movies. When confronted, he admitted that he lied and only knew about the Hacketts because he was institutionalized with their father, Donald Hackett.
