Jerry Stark was a former resident of Nantucket and an old school friend of Joe Hackett. He was played by Kelly Connell.
Bio[]
Jerry Stark and his family moved to Nantucket when he was a teenager and he attended Siasconset High School for one semester where he dated Roberta Mull and befriended Joe Hackett. He was also a member of the French Club and Monsieur Busard was his favorite teacher. Joe picked him for his team in gym class, made a place for him at his lunch table, and said "How's it going, buddy?" everyday as they passed each other in the halls at school. After Joe scored the winning touchdown in the homecoming game, Joe invited him to the beach party to celebrate. However, his family moved to Columbus, Ohio and he lost touch with everyone in Nantucket (A Stand Up Kind of Guy).
Years later, Jerry returned to Nantucket for his wedding to Marilyn, who he met after a car accident. Before arriving on Nantucket, Jerry asked Joe to be his best man and, too embarrassed to admit he didn't remember him, Joe accepts. As part of his best man duties, Joe also throws Jerry a bachelor party and recruits Roberta Mull as a stripper allowing Roberta and Jerry to reconnect for the first time in years. Instead of marrying Marilyn as planned, Jerry actually marries his first love Roberta and the happy couple moves back to Columbus, Ohio (A Stand Up Kind of Guy).
