During the summer of 1996, Kyle Vane met Rebecca Burton while he was staying in a rental house on Nantucket. They spend nearly everyday riding bikes together along with her younger brother. One day they were able to lose Rebecca's little brother and shared their first kiss. Although Rebecca kept writing Kyle, he never received a reply because she was sending the letters to the rental house and no forwarding address was left (Ms. Write).
