Lewis Blanchard was the obnoxious nephew and sole heir of Carlton Blanchard. He was played by actor / comedian Gilbert Gottfried.

Bio[]

Lewis Blanchard was the obnoxious nephew and sole heir of Carlton Blanchard, a wealthy, elderly island resident known for annoying people with endless questions. Lewis was the top stereo salesman at Shawarma Electronics Store in the heart of Midtown Manhattan (Say Uncle, Carlton).

In early 1994, Lewis comes to Nantucket to visit his uncle and attend an award ceremony in his honor. Instead, he is stranded at the airport with Joe, Brian, Helen, and Fay while Carlton is trapped in Antonio's cab with Antonio, Roy, Lowell, and Alex.

When his uncle was seemingly near death, Lewis returned to the island to begin selling all his possessions and almost sold his house to Joe and Helen. However, Carlton recovered when he heard all his "friends and family" gathered downstairs.

In 1995, Lewis came to Nantucket to spend Christmas with his uncle. When Casey was desperate to have a date for Joe and Helen's Christmas party, she invited Lewis.

Trivia[]

  • When Lewis' father died, he only left him a 1978 LeSabre (Say Uncle, Carlton).
  • As the sole heir of his Uncle Carlton, Lewis is constantly trying to ease his uncle into a early grave.
