Quotes[]

  • Fay Cochran - "Sandpiper Air will now begin boarding its flight number seven to Provincetown through gate one. As you know, this is a very special flight because you're the first passengers to fly us since the F.A.A. shut down Sandpiper. You see, the last time our plane flew our pilots crashed it into the ocean in what is, to this day, an unexplained accident. Of course, the insurance will tell you it was all pilot error, but, personally, I think the plane was just too old."

  • Lowell Mather - "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I think I've put this together. Both of you guys are named Hackett and this guy's girlfriend went out with a guy named Hackett. Therefore... Oh, nevermind. Thought I was onto something but it's gone now."

  • Joe Hackett - "Come here. Look at yourself. You see that nose?"
Brian Hackett - "How could you not?"
Joe Hackett - "That's mom's nose. That's the nose mom gave you."
Brian Hackett - "Wow. It really is mom's nose. Hi mommy."
Joe Hackett - "You can't change that. And you can't change those eyes. Those are dad's eyes."
    Brian Hackett - "Daddy!"
    Joe Hackett - "Right."
Brian Hackett - "Hey, Joe, look at the chin. If you just imagine spaghetti sauce right it's..."
Joe Hackett and Brian Hackett - "Uncle Larry."
Joe Hackett - "See, you got the best of everybody. Now let's go."
Brian Hackett - "No, no, stop. Wait a second. Wait, wait, wait. See, nothing belongs to me. You know? My face is just a bunch of spare parts. See, that's why I want Mitch Gaylord's nose. Because then, I'll finally have something I can call my very own."

Trivia[]

  • Marty mentions Roy's dog Brutus snarling at him. Brutus first appeared in Airport '90.
  • While discussing noses and attractive features, several characters share who they think is the most attractive man in the world:
    • Antonio says Sylvester Stallone.
    • Joe chooses Peter Jennings.
    • Roy says John Forsythe.
    • Lowell thinks it's Tom Petty.
    • Brian believes it's Kevin Costner, but he chooses to get Mitch Gaylord's nose.
  • Joe and Brian reminisce about staying up late to watch the The Six Million Dollar Man (which they erroneously call "The Bionic Man") and being carried to bed by their father who would sing them a silly song.
