Shannon Carson was a temp hired by Sandpiper Air to fill in while Fay was on vacation. She was played by Samantha Smith.

While Fay was on vacation, Shannon Carson applied with for the job of temporary ticket agent with Sandpiper Air. Brian was against hiring her because she was too attractive, but Joe agreed to hire her after some prodding from Helen. However, after she was hired, both Helen and Joe had dreams about Joe cheating on Helen with Shannon. After her employment ended, Shannon seemed to move to Boston (Dreamgirl).
