Wings

Sharon Barr is an American actress and writer, possibly best known for her role as Billie in "Days of Our Lives" and a starring role in the short-lived 80s series "Max Headroom."

Born September 18, 1961 in Lake Forest, Illinois, she graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and began her career in the 1971 Los Angeles production of Tom Eyen's "Dirtiest Show in Town." She went on to star in Eyen's "Women Behind Bars" and play Anita Bryant in Ronald Tavel's "The Ovens of Anita Orange Juice" at the Williamstown Theater Festival and later again in New York, among many other productions. She also appeared in Eyen's "White Whore and the Bit Player," "Ms Neffertiti Regrets" and "Give My Regards to Off-Off Broadway" at Ellen Stewart's La MaMa ETC. She also performed at Theater Genesis at St. Mark's Church in the Bowery and Manhattan Theater Club.

Barr made her first TV appearance in the TV-movie, "The Devil's Daughter," which was followed by roles in the TV-movies, "In the Custody of Strangers," "Archer: Fugitive from the Empire" and "The Dirtiest Show in Town." Following a recurring role on "Days Of Our Lives," she had bit parts on "Night Court," "Riptide," "Hill Street Blues," "Hardcastle and McCormick," "Wings," "Seinfeld," "Cheers" and "Full House." She also starred in further TV-movies, "Double Your Pleasure," "Dark Holiday," "Police Story: Monster Manor" and "Fugitive Nights." Her last acting role was in the 1995 Pauley Shore movie, "Jury Duty."

In the early 90s, Barr wrote and performed a solo performance piece titled "Protect Me From What I Want" in comedy venues around Los Angeles.

Barr has since become a writer, publishing the novel, "In the World of Fruits and Nuts."
