Susan Benson met and befriended Helen while the two went to music school together in New York (The Fortune Cookie).
Unhappy with Joe and Brian scheme to fake injuries and commit insurance fraud, Helen wanted to teach them a lesson. She intercepted their insurance claim and recruited Susan to pose as an insurance adjuster to expose Joe and Brian. When Susan was able to easily seduce Brian into revealing his injuries were fake, Helen let them in on her joke (The Fortune Cookie).
