The Fortune Cookie is the second episode of the fourth season on Wings, and the 52th episode overall in the series.

Synopsis[]

After receiving an insurance check for only $262, Joe becomes frustrated with his inability to fix his plane. Desperate, Joe lets Brian convince him to fake an injury to get more money from the insurance company despite Helen's loud objections. Using a crooked doctor, Brian spends a fraudulent letter to their insurers, wbut when the adjuster arrives, Joe is terrified of lying so Brian has to pose as Joe. However, when the insurance adjuster turns out to be an attractive woman hitting on Brian, he's unable to keep up the rouse. Fortunately, she is actually a friend of Helen's pretending to be the "insurance adjuster" too teach the Hackett brothers a lesson. When the brothers see that Roy received a large insurance check for his non-existent injuries, Helen makes a hasty retreat.
