The Naked Truth is the first episode of the third season on Wings, and the 29th episode overall in the series.
Synopsis[]
Ten months after leaving Nantucket, Helen calls Joe out of the blue late one night at home. Since her departure, Joe has been dating Gail Scott, a investigative reporter from D.C. who has a house on the island, but he doesn't mention her to Helen. Meanwhile, Roy and Faye have been starving for decent coffee in Helen's absence and hit up Lowell for some of his, only to learn he doesn't use a filter. When Joe tells Brian about Helen's phone call, he convinces him to track Helen down in NYC, a trail that leads them to Totally Nude Nudes, a night club where Helen is living a meager existence as a waitress. She subsequently breaks down on how broke she is and relents to returning to Nantucket with them. Thinking she and Joe still have a relationship, she is shocked to meet Gail and ends up beating Joe up in his office. Unfortunately, her anger escalates when she feels deceived by Joe and she drives her jeep into his office, wrecking it in the process out of revenge.
