Quotes[]

  • Brian Hackett - "It doesn't make any sense. I mean, why would the bank repossess our plane? We missed one lousy payment."
Joe Hackett - "It wasn't just one."
Brian Hackett - "Well, how many payments did we miss?"
    Joe Hackett - "Three."
Brian Hackett - "Well-well, why didn't you tell me we missed three payments?"
Joe Hackett - "Cause we actually missed five."
Brian Hackett - "Five payments?! Why didn't you tell me? What am I some little brother of yours that you have to shield from the truth? I'm your partner."
Joe Hackett - "Alright, it was eight."
    Brian Hackett - "Eight?!"

  • Joe Hackett - "If we could just find a way to pump a little cash into the airline to get us on our feet again."
Brian Hackett - "Right. We need a cash pumper."
Joe Hackett - "Maybe I could find a financial broker, you know, a guy who could hook us up with some investors."
Brian Hackett - "Right. We need a hooker."

Trivia[]

  • Joe missing payments may be a reference to Wings being in its eighth season and this being the eighth episode of that season.
  • Joe and Brian's presentation reveals that Sandpiper Air was founded in 1988.
  • Joe shares that a sweet old lady named Mrs. Maguire was the first customer of Sandpiper Air when she bought a ticket to Boston for $20. Joe had that $20 framed, but Brian later used it to purchase lottery scratchers.
